Hamilton

Derailed by COVID, we finally got to see Hamilton (some of us for the second time). Seats got upgraded to orchestra which was even better.  Anika joined us and we all went to dinner at Carmines.  Such a nice outing.

Kailei's NY Trip

Kailei kicked off her school NY trip with a series of travel hiccups which had her at the airport at 3:30am in the morning and not getting to NY until 11:30pm at night.  Needless to say it was not a great way to start but fortunately the rest of the trip went smoothly. 

Lots of sightseeing but it went quickly.  They always seemed to be on the move. The Met, Rockefeller Center, Broadway show (Come From Away), Time Square, Chinatown, Circle line cruise around the statue of liberty, Little Italy, Top of the Rock, and of course Carnegie Hall.

She spent a great deal of time in rehearsal for the choir performance at Carnegie, but she had a fantastic time. 

 

New hairdo

Kailei has been dying to cut her hair short so today we made it happen. She also redyed half her hair purple.  I think she looks super cute though I have to admit I was nervous. She LOVES it!  Shari for the win!
 

Choir Concert

Another successful choir concert for the books. So nice that they aren't wearing masks anymore. We can actually understand them. I'm sad however because I think she just has one more concert before her senior year ends.  :(

 

Belated Birthday Party

We had to postpone Keara's 21st birthday party until today due to our NY trip earlier in the month. It ended up snowing so not everyone could come, but we had a good time nevertheless.  Keara hates that we have parties at all so she was fine with that. Good times.

 

A Gift

These came with the necklace we gave Keara for her birthday. We also gave her a ring with her birthstone in it.
