Lone Tree Arts Center

The school district art show is at the Lone Tree Arts Center and Keara had one of her works of art on display there. We're so proud of her. She does beautiful stuff and it's nice that she gets recognized by someone other than her parents

Keara's Confirmation

Today we were blessed to celebrate Keara's confirmation. What a special day it was. Tracie, Grandma, Uncle Mitch and Aunt Lynn all joined us at the church to celebrate the occasion. Unfortunately Grammy and Poppy were in Texas and Uncle Mark wasn't Scotland. We missed having them there but had a good time anyway. Keara felt very special and I hope her faith continues to grow. Aunt Tracy was her confirmation sponsor and her confirmation name was Kateri.

Theatre Date

Escaped with Zeb today and went downtown to see the show Motown. I have to admit I wasn't too excited about it but it turned out to be really good. They did a great job and we ended up having an enjoyable day.

Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend

Once again we are having to say goodbye to a special member of the family.  Kodo has been with us for almost 18 years.  Hard to believe.  The girls don't know life without him.  We are sad but he has lived a good long life and for that we are grateful.  I told the girls he will go and keep Grandpa company.  Doesn't take away the hurt however.  One could not ask for a better dog.  We were truly blessed.  ...and now we are three.

Proud Parents

Received a call from Keara's counselor today.  One does not always expect good news when that happens but this time it was.  She was calling to tell us that Keara was given an award from her team today.  She said it was not one they tend to give our very often but they thought Keara was a deserving of it.  They said she was a great students, kind, works with others well, has started to advocate for herself and they enjoyed having her.  Mom and Dad can't ask for more.

Easter

We were blessed with a wonderful Easter today. Weather was beautiful and we started out the morning going to church bright and early. We had hope to miss the crowd but no such luck.  Enjoyed breakfast at Village Inn and then came home to try and find all the eggs that the Easter bunny hid. Kailei specifically asked that the eggs be hidden better than they were last year and then she spent the morning complaining that she could not find them all.

Headed on over to Grammy's house for another amazing lunch/dinner. Mitch and his family
joined us which made it extra fun. Mom always does a great job and spoils the kids. Mark and Nic went out and hid Easter eggs for the cousins to then search for and they had a blast while doing it. Love spending time with the family. Seems like we're all going a million different directions these days and it's hard to coordinate schedules but blessed when we do have the time. Happy Easter! Love to all!

Dying Eggs

Thank goodness I still have someone who likes to dye eggs. Keara didn't really want to take part but Kailei is still a believer in the Easter bunny and all the goodness that comes with it. Spent the afternoon dying eggs and writing her letter to the Easter bunny. So fun to see her so giddy.
