Bowling!

Who doesn't love bowling?!  I haven't been in forever but met Sheryl and Britt at the bowling alley this morning.  The kids had a great time.  They were totally entertained and it is on my list of "to do's" again.

Spring Break

We are enjoying spring break.  Really just taking it easy for the most part which is exactly what was needed.  I feel guilty for not getting too much done around the house but it will be there for me later.  The girls and I have had fun going to movies, doing lunch, seeing friends and sleeping in.  I'm ready for summer now.  :)

A New MWCC Addition

Somehow I missed blogging about a new addition to our MWCC group.  The Trautman's welcomed baby Claire into their family back in December.  She came quite early and unexpected so we just had the shower this month.  Anyhoo, she is just beautiful and will bring a new light into our group.  We all fight to hold her.  She is precious and so is her family.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Nothing can be more satisfying then attending parent/teacher conferences about your children and hearing good things.  Not sure why it is sometimes surprising but it sure feels good.  Both girls are doing great so their teachers tell us.  We are very proud of them and hope the trend continues.

A Facebook Message

One of my favorite students sent this message to me via Facebook....

"O.k as if watching you give so much of yourself didn't make me realize what teaching was all about....I became a teacher because you inspired me. Then I decided to open a school....o.k you REALLY never told me what this would be like. Thank you for all you have taught me and for helping me become the best person I can be....now that is an phenomenal teacher:)"

Totally made my day!

A Favorite Picture

I was cleaning out my nightstand the other day and came across this photo.  While we were a tad younger, it is one of my favorite of my Dad, my sister and myself.
