Walsh Wedding

This weekend Zeb's second cousin, Shelby, got married. We headed down to Walsh. It was the four of us and three dogs. Phyllis of course spoiled us with lots of good food. The wedding was really nice although rather windy. Apparently that is a Walsh thing so the wind was not an issue for most anyone.

We really enjoyed seeing Carla and her family as well. So nice to be able to have folks together. Looking forward to the next time around.

Keara's Texas Vacation

So Keara had the fortunate opportunity to be able to go to Texas and visit her cousins for one week this summer. This was her first plane ride alone. She did great. She left mid June and while I would not survive in the Texas heat, she did okay.

She was definitely spoiled while she was there. They went out to dinner a few times, they painted pottery and the even went to Sea World. Apparently the highlight of her trip was beach camping. Not my idea of fun but she really liked it. We are grateful for everything that Kevin and Jess did for her. She's ready to go back next summer.

Mark

Mark showed up to dinner looking like this tonight.  Apparently his story is that it was a "hurling accident". 10 stitches.  I told him that girls like men with scars.  We will see if it improves his dating life.

Happy Father's Day!

Zeb's Reunion

For the first time since graduation said decided to attend his class reunion. I'm not sure if he would have gone had he not had to drive uncle John down but I think it was good for him. He had a nice time chatting with old classmates. That's about all I know.  Kailei went with him and spent some quality time with Grandma playing lots of games.

Recital

This weekend Kailei has had a number of recitals.  She danced all of her competition dances and then an additional jazz dance at the "Dancing on Mainstreet" show on Saturday.  Uncle Mark and Aunt Tracie came and showed their support. We celebrated after by having lunch at Sweet Tomatoes.

On Sunday she participated as a dragonfly in the "Alice in Wonderland" ballet.  She had two shows and did a great job.  I'm not sure if ballet is her love but she certainly did it better than her Aunt and Mom ever did.

This wrapped up dance for the year and we have about a month off before we do it all over again.

End of Year

Today is the last day of Kaieli as a fourth-grader. She enjoyed having her teacher Mrs. Silva. I know she had a great year and we are proud of all that she accomplished.  Here's to summer!!!!

Transportation Presentation

For the last few weeks Kailei has been working on a presentation about Colorado transportation in the 1800s. She really has hated doing this project and has whined most every weekend. That said, she got it done and she even got a really good grade on it. Zeb and I both went to see her presentation at school today.  Good job Kailei!  (I do have to agree with Kailei in saying that it is hard to make transportation very exciting.)
