Choir Concert

 Choir concert tonight.  Had to leave the TSA state conference and run over for her to perform at her concert.  So fun to see her so happy.  She loves to sing! (Actually she never stops singing)

Technology Student Association State Conference

 Kailei participated in the TSA State Conference this year again.  So proud of her as there were quite a few obstacles to overcome with her team.  She persevered however and while they didn't place she had a good time and learned a lot of lessons. 

More Birthday Celebrations

 Oh my goodness! This day! What started out great ended with just a little bit of chaos which will make the birthday memorable. Our toilet has been giving us problems so about 30 minutes before everyone was due to come help celebrate Karen’s birthday we decided to replace the toilet. It was simply going to be easier than trying to fix it.

At some point while being fixed the pipe was broken. Water had to be turned off which was water that was needed to cook the dinner. Sent Mark to the grocery store to go buy water. Zeb and his brothers spent most of the evening helping him fix the pipe get the toilet installed. The rest of us managed to enjoy a somewhat edible meal of spaghetti. Keara was spoiled by all her family and towards the end of the night our toilet worked again and we were able to turn the water back on. Definitely will be an 18th birthday party to remember.

Birthday Celebrations

 Took the girls to paint some pottery this morning as part of Keara's birthday celebration.  They all did a great job.  Then we had lunch at Qdoba and went to the tattoo parlor.  No, Keara didn't get a tattoo but rather she wanted a helix ear piercing for her birthday.  We could not deny her so off we went.  She loves it which is all that matters.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm not the best at doing Valentine's Day because it  generally gets overshadowed by Keara's birthday.  Zeb never forgets however and I am reminded how much I love this guy.

Keara's Birthday

 Today this beautiful girl turned 18.  Not sure how it came so fast, but here we are.  Celebrated by going out for Chinese and then gave her a 18 lottery tickets.  She didn't win much but it was fun to watch. 

Friends Far Away

San Antonio is full of people I love.  Got to spend an evening with Michelle.  We taught together for years until she got married and moved.  She was an amazing teacher and is an amazing person.  Now the mother of five, I continue to be astounded at all that she does.  So great to spend some time together.

A Visit from Mother Mary

Silly me didn't get any pictures, but I was blessed to have my Texas Mom drive down to San Antonio to see me.  She saw that I was going there on Facebook and gave me a call.  In a million years I didn't think that we would get to see each other because she is in Houston.  To my surprise she willing to drive to see me.  She spent the night and we had a great time catching up.  Blessed to have this woman in my life. 

Family Time

One of the best things about getting to go to a conference in San Antonio is that you get to see family.  Kevin and family joined me for an Italian dinner on the Riverwalk.  The food was not especially great but the company sure was.  These boys continue to impress me each time I hear about all that they are doing.  Love them to pieces!
