Estes Park

Headed up to Estes Park today and convinced Keara and Zeb to go with me.  Enjoyed lunch on the patio at Poppy's Restaurant and then spent some time reading and enjoying the scenery. Can't do too much walking because Zeb's hip is bothering him, but that is OK with Keara and I as long we have our books.  

Birthday Girls

Celebrated Kailei's birthday today.  Nothing big, just a family dinner.  It's not even fun anymore because typically there are no gifts since the teen just wants money.  Oh well, it is really about here. Can't believe she is 17.

Breckenridge

Decided to try something new today and rented some ATV's.  They make it really easy for you by giving you a truck to haul them with, the equipment to use, paths to go on and the vehicles themselves. After driving to our desired location, Zeb found out that he forgot his helmet in our car so we had to drive back into town and then back out again.  Fortunately we still had plenty of time to complete our ride.  I felt like I was speeding along, but Zeb said I wasn't.  It was VERY bumpy.  I highly recommend a sports bra for the ladies after completing this ride.  We had lots of fun and the scenery was great.  

After that we made an attempt to see the sunset.  It is very smoky but we thought it was lovely despite the smoke.

Dillon and White River National Forest

I love eating outside when it is nice and I love reading by a creek/river.  Managed to check both of the list today.  

Mountain Getaway

Couldn't make a real vacation plan work so decided to just head to the mountains for a few days.  The girls had work so they could no join us but I think they were more excited about being alone for a few days.  We headed to the Dillon area and stayed next to the Lake.  Great weather. Great scenery. Great company.
