Zoo Time

We have been so lucky this spring break. We have had gorgeous weather and I've caught spring fever pretty bad. Today we headed out to the zoo. It was the perfect day for it. We took Frances and Thomas with us as Lucy was still recovering from surgery. It was simply the best. Great weather, great company, great dipping' dots, great animals, great popcorn, great carousel ride, great hotdogs, great ice cream... Simply enjoyed it all.

Lair o' the Bear

Escaped to Morrison with my husband on Sunday.  Mom and Dad took the girls for us and so we headed to the foothills.  We were going to go to Evergreen Lake but drove by this open space called Lair o' the Bear and decided to stop.  Zeb and I enjoyed a hike for a couple of hours.  It was a great spot and I can't wait to go back. We topped off the day with dinner in Morrison at Tony Rigatoni's.  Nice to spend the day with such a great guy.  I think I'll keep him.

I was talking on the phone the other day and when I got off Kailei asked who I was talking to. I told her my mom. I asked her if she would call me when she doesn't live with me any more. "I might just have to do that.", she replied.

St. Patrick's Day

Got our Irish on and headed down to the St. Patrick's Day parade.  Missed it last year and after dealing with the crowds this year I might just have to miss it again.  It was a madhouse.  I'm not sure if it was due to the wonderful weather but it really was crazy.  The parade is 3 1/2 hours long so didn't stay for the whole thing but I can tell you that the Irish sure know how to party.

We escaped for lunch and headed to the Old Spaghetti Factory.  On our way there we came across a lost little boy so we stayed with him until the police came.  Poor thing was so distraught.  We were hardly comforting to him but at least it ended well as his family had called the police as well and they were quickly reunited.

The wait at the restaurant was crazy but the food was yummy.  Overall, it was a fun day despite the crowds.

Life

It's crazy right now.  Running from one thing to the other.  Juggling way to many balls and having to let some fall.  But in a moment we are once again reminded that life is short.  Merle's leukemia is back.  Please pray for him.
