Mommy/Daughter Dinner Date

Piano got cancelled tonight so Kailei and I headed to Gunther Toody's.  I had the hankerin' for a greasy burger and onion rings.  They did not disappoint.  Kailei enjoyed her mini corn dogs and topped it off with a delicious chocolate malt.

Fun with Friends

Kailei has been blessed with having two weeks off for spring break.  Luckily Lily was off too and invited her over for some fun.  They went to Jump Street, out to lunch and played over at Lily's house until Kailei had to go to dance.  Not a bad way to spend the day.  Thanks Lily!

Family Fun

First time in a long time that we had nothing planned for the weekend. Girls started spring break so we decided to kick it off with a little fun. Grabbed Sydney and headed down to the Cheyenne Mountain zoo. It's a great zoo built on a mountain in Colorado Springs and the kids love feeding the giraffes and elephants.

After that we went to celebrate the girls doing so well in terms of their school and grades. We treated them to The Melting Pot which is a fondue place. I think everyone had a lot of fun. The girls were a little worried that the food was not to be cooked enough so that repeatedly asked if things were done. All in all it was a great day, expensive, but great.

Dance Competition #2

Another dance competition yesterday. We began the morning at my school today because I had an event I was organizing for some of the elementary kids in the area. When that was done we rushed down to Colorado Springs to spend the rest of the day surrounded by dance. The good news is that this tap routine got first place as well as her lyrical.  Grammy and Poppy came down and watched the competition as well. It was a very long day.  One more competition to go and then recital and nationals.

Dance for a Difference

Every year Kailei's dance company does a show to raise money for the Children's Hospital in Denver. This year was especially poignant as one of our dancers has struggled with cancer. Feels really good to give back and and the whole company did a great job. Thanks Poppy and Aunt Lynn for coming to watch.

Gotta' Love Him

Found this lying on my purse as I was getting ready to leave for school.  Love my husband!
