MWCC Chinese New Year

Had a wonderful celebration this evening with friends who have been together for 10 years now. They are like family and it's amazing how much these girls have grown up. Love them all and look forward to what the next 10 years will bring.

First Competition of the Season

In light of the snowstorm they still decided to hold Kailei's dance competition today. It was the first one of the season and we headed up north to Westminister High School. Kailei's first two dances were in the small group competition and she did great. In fact, her lyrical dance ended up winning first place overall for the small group division and they won money as well. The large group division held her tap and production routine and they did a pretty good job. Kailei was exhausted and not feeling well for her tap routine but she rallied and did a great job. It was a long day as we were out from nine in the morning till 9 o'clock at night and drove home in a snowstorm.

Chinese New Year

Ms. Kailei QiongXiu was beautiful tonight in her Chinese New Years performance. Her class was the opening act.  Grammy and Poppy attended. It was just so lovely. So enjoy this night.

Mommy/Daughter Date

Kailei and I went out on a date today. Went downtown to see the musical Cinderella. Kailei really enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite but I enjoyed being with her. We went to spaghetti factory afterwords because she said it was "tradition".  Can't argue with her.  :)

Keara's Birthday Party

February is a crazy month so when we looked at the calendar it became evident that we needed to have Keara's birthday party just a little early. Because I was out of town until Friday night basically Zeb was in charge. He did a great job making Korean barbecue and orange chicken for everyone. We had cupcakes with blue frosting that made us like quite creepy after we ate them.

The usual suspects attended and Keara was blessed with some thoughtful gifts. She got books that she wanted, a blanket, some clothes and of course whatever teenager wants…money.
