Daddy - Daughter Date

 I sacrificed my ticket to Newsies because I had seen in a New York and I thought Kailei and her father deserved a night out. Kailei absolutely loved it. Her dad was the perfect gentleman and she ate it up. They went out to dinner and went to the show and had a great time.

Spring Break Fun

Spring break is this week. Unfortunately Keara is sick so we couldn't do anything too exciting but Kailei did have a couple friends over for a play date (oops - I'm supposed to say hangout now) and sleepover. Took them to lunch and Monster Golf.  I think they had a good time

Easter Morning

Easter is early this year.  Caught me off guard but we managed.  Easter Bunny came.  Kailei still believes (or she doesn't admit she doesn't).  That's OK.  Makes it more fun.  Went to 11:30am church this morning.  Man, was it crowded! 

Easter

Spent Easter at Mom and Dad's as usual. You would think I would offer to have it at my house sometimes but I'm spoiled and enjoy going over there. Mitch and his family joined us as well. We couldn't have the outside Easter egg hunt because of all the snow but the kids had fun in the basement hiding the eggs and had more Easter egg hunts then I can count. Keara was sick so she wasn't able to join us and we missed her terribly.

Dying Eggs

Had fun with Kailei dying eggs tonight. We even got the teenager to join us for a short time. Tried a new way of dying a few of them give them that gives them the marble look. I was very proud of some of my eggs thank you very much.

Snow Days!

Best ever!  We had two days this week.  And it is right before spring break which makes it even better.  This winter has been weird.  I feel like we haven't got a lot of snow but when it does, it dumps it.  I love being snowed in. It means I will finish reading one of my books.  Kailei even made chocolate chip cookies. Not sure the dogs like it as much.

Grabbed some girl time today. Had tea with friends and talked about parenting. We decided it's not for wimps.

Well not really a new hairdo but a new color. Thanks Shari!  Love seeing that smile on the teenager.

Girls Night Out

Zeb was out with the guys today so we headed out as well. Saw Zootopia in 3D. We LOVED IT! 👍

Piano Recital

Kailei is still is going to piano each and every week. She's been doing it for years and I must admit that I love it because right now she's the only one in the family with any kind of musical talent. I'm glad it makes her happy and I'm glad she has such a special relationship with her piano teacher, Miss Janna.

Line Dancing

Yes I'm taking a line dancing class right now. It's a small class but we have a lot of fun. I would not
say I am as coordinated as I used to be once upon a time but I'm enjoying getting out and just moving my feet so to speak.
