Obrien Pool

Mom was brave and took the boys, Kailei and Syd to the pool and Parker. All of the kids had a great time sliding down the slides and playing with each other.  I think Mark was there to help with crowd control.

Theatre Date

Surprisingly enough my husband did not have a huge desire to go see Carole King. The Musical but I managed to talk my mom into it. It was an amazing musical! So glad we went! We both loved it and enjoyed a great dinner afterwards. Thanks Mom!

Mentor

So I've been trying to hook Kailei up with a mentor and we finally got matched with one. This young lady goes to South High School and as it turns out, we actually went to China with her when we did our homeland trip. Of course she was older and we were busy with our group but the fact we were  on the same trip is just so funny. She's an amazing kid. I'll be curious to see if she can find the time to do all that does.

Renaissance Festival

This year for family day we decided to change things up a bit and we headed down to the Renaissance Festival. We haven't been there in years and the weather ended up to be perfect because it was not that hot which it usually is. Ate some fun food, saw some great comedians and browsed all the shops. Hope we do it again next year.

Kayaking

Went up to my friend's house up in Leadville to do some planning for school. Certainly better than spending three days in the school building itself. Beautiful surroundings, great friends and a little bit of time to play. Got convinced to go kayaking which was a big deal for me because I don't like being that close to the water. They took care of me and we had a great time.

Girls Night Out

Enjoyed a wonderful evening with Mom, Aunt Bernice, Jessica and my friend Judith. We went to the Fresh Fish Company and then down to the Botanic Gardens. Great to be with all these people that I love in such a beautiful setting.

Estes Park

Bernice came into town so naturally we had to find time to get up to the mountains. We caravaned up to Estes Park for the day and despite the weather had a great time. It rained off and on but we got in a picnic and walked around town enjoying the sights and sounds of Estes. Good times!

Kiowa Country

Had to take Bernice and the boys out to Tracie's house to have some fun in the country. Played with the puppies, jumped on the trampoline, had fun with the horses and took advantage of their new hot tub. Life is good!  Thanks Trac!

Aunt Patsy and Linda

Came across this picture of Aunt Patsy and Linda on Facebook. I was so excited because I don't have that many pictures of Aunt Patsy. Dad doesn't have too many people left in his family but Aunt Patsy can certainly tell you about each and everyone of them. She is our family's history keeper.  She has NEVER, EVER missed a birthday.  She is full of stories and love and we miss not being close to her.  And of course Linda shares my love of horses and so of course she is the bomb. Love these people!

Castlewood Canyon

The boys are staying at mom's so she has to keep them busy. She decided to take them down to Castlewood Canyon for a hike and she graciously took Kailei as well. Looks like they had a good time playing in the creek and enjoying the canyon.

July 4th

The cousins are here, the cousins are here! We're so excited to be celebrating the Fourth of July with our Texas family. They got up here last night we were able to enjoy this wonderful 4th together. Swimming, a barbecue and fireworks made it a wonderful memory for us all

Pool Time

Summer would not be summer without time spent at the pool. The boys and Syd all had a good time. They especially love having uncle Mark in the pool with them.
