Sherman's Circle of Love

So Mark has always called his future child Sherman. He has done it long before Caroline was pregnant and continues to insist his child will be called Sherman. Needless to say, Caroline will not be having it.

So Keara decided to write a children's book instead of buying one and she used Sherman as the main character. It was hoped that Mark would be satisfied with that and let go of naming his kid Sherman.

Anyway, she wrote and illustrated the book and it is amazing.

Caroline's Baby Shower

It's been years since I threw a baby shower but one must step up when your sister-in-law is having a baby. Caroline's mom was in town so this was the perfect time to have it. Mom helped quite a bit. I had too much food but I think it looked nice. Games were cheesy but I didn't know if I could go without them or not. Lots of people from Caroline's work attended which was great. It was a nice crowd and Caroline and Mark received some great stuff for the baby.

I streamed the event so a few people in Scotland could watch her open gifts and feel included.

Once thing I did was ask people to bring a book in lieu of a card so I know they started a nice library of books to read to my future niece/nephew.

Hopefully Caroline enjoyed it. That is all that is important.

Theatre Date

Lynn and I went to see The Silhouettes at the Pace Center in Parker. I had seen this group on America's Got Talent so had to get tickets when I found out they were in Parker. Basically a shadow dance group whose creativity is off the charts. They did lots of heart signs which is why Lynn is doing one. Nice afternoon with my friend.

On our way home

We drive by these little wooden "signs" every holiday season and I generally make the girls get out and take pictures.  They begrudgingly accommodate me.  This year I decided to make a Christmas card out of the pictures as well. Love the tradition.

Thanksgiving

Long overdue Thanksgiving down in Walsh. Missed going there. Her son Tod and his wife Yolie were there so I got to know Yolie better. Sue was there as well. She always cracks me up.  The rest of the Davison crew was present and accounted for.  Got a speeding ticket on the way down - ugh!  Other than that, had a great time.
