As if I didn't already have enough to do I decided to start an esports team at CT. Esports is competitive pc gaming and while I know nothing about it, I do know that kids love it. The team plays League of Legends and I have four teams and two subs. Fortunately I have a colleague that actually understands the game and can coach them as essentially I am really Coach Mom. It has been a HUGE learning curve, but I've agreed to do it again next semester.
Went to see the Denver Gay Men's Chorus this afternoon. It was their Christmas show and a good friend of mine was singing in it so I got tickets for the whole family. I wasn't sure what the girls would think but they loved it.
Hosted the Davison Christmas today. Made lasagna and spinach pasta for everyone. Amy is getting famous for her rice krispie creations. Kids were spoiled as usual. Everyone loved the girls handmade gifts and the kids were especially excited that one of their gifts was a weekend getaway with their Aunt and Uncle. Love this family!
Kailei had her Winter Choir Concert this evening. She so loves to sing so we enjoy seeing her in her element. The pitfall for her this year is that she has to wear a black dress for all the occasions. Works for her mother though.
I asked Keara to make a rice krispie snowman for dessert. She spend all day on it. First she made a great snowman, then she decided to change it all up and made Olaf. Of course, it was a hit at the party we attended.
Managed to get a few of us together for Christmas. Blessed that we have all remained friends over the years. The girls have all gotten so big and we have gotten so...old.
Ricky cracks us up. He is our "special" dog. He loves to sleep, hates the outdoors, will come running when you whistle but has no idea who was calling him, finds imaginary food to eat and lets nothing phase him. Everyone loves Ricky.
