Early Birthday Celebration

May is a great month for birthdays and Lynn and I always celebrate ours together.  While we can't always do a trip to Hawaii, we do manage to have dinner.  Headed to the Fresh Fish Company this year and enjoyed a great meal and even better conversation.  Lynn and I are looking forward to our 50th birthday when we plan to celebrate in London. :)

Mandy

Every once in a while a student comes along and makes you find yourself making a place in your heart for them.  Mandy was/is one of those students.  She worked for me over the years at CT and we have remained in touch.  Today she graduates from college and I was honored to be invited.  The world is a better place with people like Mandy.

Nic's Confirmation

Tonight was Nic's confirmation.  I can't say enough how proud I am of my nephew.  He is quite the young man and I am blessed to be his godmother.

Phase 1 - Implant

Well, today was the big day.  With a little valium and a lot of courage I went to the dentist and he proceded to pull my crown and put a big screw in my mouth.  Apparently I am lucky because the stars alighned and they could do two procedures today instead of one.  That means I only have to have this hole in my mouth for 3 months instead of 6.  Lucky me!

Sydney

Sydney has been involved with gymnastics for the past year and appears to be very talented at it.  We recently had the opportunity to go to one of her competitions and she literally kicked butt.  She took 1st place all around and placed in every event.  It was quite impressive and we enjoyed watching her.  Glad she enjoys it so much and we look forward to more events.

My Tooth

Well, our insurance continues to be put to use.  Went to the dentist recently and I have a cracked crown.  I have two options - fix it or get an implant. Went to another dentist for a consult and he told me the chances of saving it are 50/50 so rather than take the chance of it not working, we are moving straight to an implant to the tune of $5000.  Yikes!!!
