Kailei's Dance Recital
It's not often you see Kailei in lace, but she had to wear it for her dance recital. She looked lovely and did a great job dancing. I miss her Chinese dancing a lot so it was a real treat just to see her on stage.

Tea Time
I've been meaning to take Mom down to the Brown Palace for high tea for number of years. It's really fun to go around the holidays, but getting a reservation is tough. So with it being spring break, I decided not to wait any longer. I called her and told her to get dressed up a little and surprised her with a nice afternoon tea.

Dave and Busters
Kailei LOVES playing games so Dave and Busters is her little slice of heaven. She enjoyed spending time playing games with Catie today.

Stil Dying Eggs
With some groaning I managed to get the girls to dye some easter eggs. They may act like they are too cool, but I know they had fun.

Tiger
Got this painting of Tiger reframed today. It looks great and now that it is hanging up I am reminded of my time with him each day.

New York
We just couldn't go to New York without saying Nana. Bernice came and picked us up at our hotel which is very nice and then we went over to the nursing home. She wasn't at her best we managed to get a game of Scrabble in. After visiting Kailei and I had to head back downtown for a matinee showing of Wicked. after the show we met Sharon and Maeve, grab some dinner, and then saw the show Be More Chill. It was fun to get to see so many family members. Short but sweet trip.

New York
What a great day! Started the morning by searching for a Dunkin Donuts only to find that it was Underground. That made it very difficult for me, but eventually we got there. And since we were walking in circles, we managed to go to St Patrick's Cathedral and Rockefeller Center. Then Uncle Jack took the day off, and we did a little touring of the city. We went to the Tenement Museum, ate some Chinese food in Chinatown, went to the Museum of Natural History and then walked through Central Park. 27,000 steps later we said goodbye to Jack and then Kailei and I went and saw Mean Girls. It was a terrific show. Finally, we collapsed at the hotel.

New York Bound
When Keara was a freshman I took her to New York for a weekend of Broadway. Naturally I had to do the same thing for Kailei. I'm sure you know how much of a struggle it was to get me to go to New York to see some Broadway shows, but I HAD to do it to make things equal.
