Zeb and I decided to escape for a few days while Kailei was at camp to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Headed down to Salida Colorado where we’ve never been before. Had a nice time hiking, sitting by the river reading, zip lining, riding up a gondola and even went to a drive-in movie. Still love this guy more than ever.
The cousins had a great time today going swimming, going to Boondocks, and going to Big Bills pizza. They were out all day and we’re pretty pooped by the end of the day. It’s so hard having fun.
Decided to do a little something different and went to a concert at the Denver botanic Gardens. I haven't been to a concert in years! We saw Mary Chapin Carpenter. Packed a picnic and squeezed into the crowd to enjoy a wonderful summer evening.
Zeb couldn’t pass up an opportunity to take his adventurous nephews on their first 14ner. It took them long way longer than he thought, but they managed to get 'er done. The boys had a great time and appreciated Uncle Zeb. He scored some points that day.
Had to take advantage of my aquarium membership and take the kids downtown. I think it’s a pretty small aquarium, but the boys didn’t think so and I was happy they enjoyed it.
We’re not always the best at celebrating Father’s Day, but you are one amazing dad Zeb Davison!
It’s been next to impossible trying to get everyone together so when we finally did we celebrated everybody and everything. Father’s Day, Tracie‘s birthday, my birthday, Gary’s birthday, Dad‘s birthday and anything else we can think of. Of course the biggest birthday was Ethan’s who turned 16. Grammy has a tradition of playing "You’re Only 16" and dancing with the birthday person. She didn’t let Ethan down.
Can’t believe how big this child is getting. Had a great time at Khiem's birthday party. Always fun catching up with everybody.
So excited that we got some family time together. Headed down to the Cheyenne Mountain zoo. The weather was perfect because there was cloud cover and it wasn’t too hot. Got to feed the giraffes and some birds, had a yummy funnel cake and simply enjoyed being together.
Kailei and I spent the afternoon together and went and saw School of Rock. She absolutely loved it and I was pretty sure that she was going to. She came straight home and downloaded the soundtrack. Went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner. They used to have the best mud pie ever but they changed it up and I was very depressed. Thank goodness the company was great.
