Theatre Date

I could not convince any family members to go with me to see the musical Frozen but I knew my friend Michael would.  He was thrilled and loves the theatre like I do.  The musical was GREAT!  I was so glad I was able to see it.

Syd's Birthday

Tracie celebrated Syd's birthday today.  She forgot to ask if we had conflicts with the date and we did so Zeb and I weren't able to go.  Keara and Kailei represented us.

Solar Eclipse

Today was the solar eclipse and our whole school got to go outside to watch it.  I was hoping it would get darker than it did but it was fun to watch anyway.

Meet Oscar

Somehow I've missed this but today I met Oscar.  This is Nana's Cabbage Patch kid.  He goes everywhere with her.  It is the cutest thing.  Someone said she thinks he is worth lots of money and she takes him everywhere so noone steals him. 

Nana Banana Turns 100

Today we celebrated Nana's 100th birthday.  She always said she would make it to 100 and here she is.  That lady is like the energizer bunny...she keeps going and going. 

Lots of family came from all over to help celebrate.  Caroline even came from Scotland.  It was so great to see everybody but I wish it was a reunion instead.  An afternoon together was hardly enough time. 

Keara wrote a poem for Nana.  Kailei and Maeve sang some songs and the Ethan and Dylan did a audience participation thing (not sure what to call it). 

Mom shared a story Nana wrote long ago.  Most of her siblings shared a memory or two.  It was simply unbelievable.

I think she had a great birthday. 

New York

 Just HAD to make a quick trip out to NY for Nana's birthday.  We left Thursday afternoon so we could spend Friday with family.  Of course that meant going to Walter's.  Then we hung out at Sharon's house.  Kevin and boys even drove up from Texas.  So much fun!
