Kodo's New Ride

At age 17 Kodo can't really see or hear much.  He knows his buddies get to go on walks and I feel so guilty not taking him.  A co-worker lent me a dog stroller she had got for her old dog.  Now Kodo can join in the fun.

Kailei and Syd's Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Kailei and Sydney's birthday. We went out to Tracie's house and Gary cooked up some chicken and steak. Keara made the cake but it was not as elaborate as the last one because she's been sick for the last week. Kailei had cheesecake which she thoroughly enjoyed. The girls took turns at a pinata that Tracie picked up.  We also lit some paper lanterns into the sky which caused some excitement amongst the family. We were just hoping that they were indeed environmentally friendly and would not cause a fire anywhere else. T

Kailei's First Day of School

Kailei had her first day of 5th grade today. She came home and was so excited. She absolutely loves her teacher who is new to the school. Her name is Miss Parsons. I'm thinking she's going to have a great year.

Keara's First Day of School

Keara had her first day of school today. She was actually looking forward to it. I love that she loves school so much. She's on a new team which made her a little nervous but I know that she'll do great. I hope that she makes friends fast and she has a wonderful year.

Kailei and Anika's Birthday

The first of Kailei's two birthday parties was held today together with cousin Anika. We had it at our house and Phyllis, John, Margaret and Paula joined us. We had hamburgers, hotdogs, brauts and Grandma fixed her famous baked beans for Kailei. Everyone had a great time. Love that we can get together like this.

White Fence Farm

Trying to take advantage of our last days of summer so we headed to the White Fence Farm for dinner tonight. The girls always enjoy going there.  It was a beautiful evening and we had fun playing and taking pictures.
