Mother-Daughter Date

As we were walking into the museum a lady was taking pictures of folks sporting the famous Bronco barrels so we jumped right in.
I was attempting to be a good bronco fan but those of you who know me know I'm really just a Broadway fan.
The museum is awesome. Kailei wasn't so sure at first but I know she ended up having a great time. There were lots of hands-on things to do. I'd go back in a heartbeat. We then went to church and went to her favorite restaurant, Red Lobster. Not a bad way to spend the day.

Stock Show
Well, living in Colorado just wouldn't be the same without our annual visit to the stock show. The girls don't have school tomorrow so we decided that heading down on a Thursday night would be a good idea. We enjoyed being able to walk around without all of the crowds. Basically I think our time at the stock show is just an excuse to get eat a bunch of junk food. We had funnel cake, cotton candy, dipping dots, nachos etc..
It wasn't without its excitement however as Keara fell down on the way in and scraped up her elbow. And then while we were in the rodeo a gentleman had a seizure in the same row that we were in which scared the girls of course. And I think there were a couple of cowboys who got pretty messed up by the bulls but other than that we had a good time. Kailei's asthma was bad but she did the best she could covering her mouth and she just wouldn't stay home.

The Brown Palace
The Brown Palace is quite a landmark around here in Colorado. I never had the opportunity to go but when scheduling one of the moms tea's, Mrs. Beth suggested that we go there. I jumped right on it. Although the weather was a bit chilly and snowy we managed to make her way downtown. It was just lovely. We enjoyed tea and little sandwiches and little desserts (with a not so little price). The atmosphere was beautiful and now I can check that off my bucket list.
