Happy Father's Day to the Best Dad Ever!

Theatre in the Park

On Friday, June 19th we headed to the park for a little culture. There was a free play and who can pass up "free" these days?! We met our friends the Wyman's and enjoyed a kid friendly show. The girls were pretty into it and the weather was beautiful. After the show, they invited some of the kids on stage. Kailei tugged at her friends arms and said, "C'mon, we're gonna be stars!" I had to laugh.

The play was across from Littleton Historic Museum so I convinced our friends that we needed to walk around there for a bit. We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed tooling around the place. Another nice summer day.

Kailei's Tap Dance from her Recital

Kailei's Graduation Video

Sleepover

Always a treat to have a sleepover. Samantha is like family and quite honestly when she is around, the kids have a great time. 24 hours prior to the sleepover Keara was preparing for a tea party, complete with decorations and name cards. They had a great time playing with their dolls and drinking tea.

The day was topped off with a trip to the ice cream shop and park. The kids and their fancy hairdo's really made me look bad as I entered the store in my sweats. Hard to keep up with these kids.

Friends

It takes a village to raise a child. I truly believe that and am thankful to have friends and family that help us as we make our way. The past few weeks the girls have spent time with my girlfriend's and their children. They saved me as I finished out the school year. Knowing they were loved and enjoying life made it all a bit easier. I'm sure we would have figured out something had they not stepped in but I really am grateful they are there to call on. Mom and Dad help out as much as they can but often keep busy with Nic and Sydney.

Anyhoo, the girls had a great time playing and swimming and playing and swimming. Not a bad way to start summer vacation if you ask me.

Kailei's Dance Recital

After a long year of weekly dance classes, it all culminates with a recital. Two to five minutes of fame and we couldn't be more proud. Kailei has enjoyed her dance class this year. She is quite comfortable on stage and seems to enjoy the limelight. It looks like next year we will take a little break from ballet and tap and try some Chinese and Irish dance.

Keara's Field Day

I got to sneak away from work for a couple of hours and join Keara on field day at school. She was a little nervous but they games were totally fun and she did great. I was very proud of her for participating. She even kept a stiff upper lip after being bumped onto the concrete and taking a pretty big spill that scraped up her hip, elbow and leg. Seemed like everyone enjoyed it and I was glad to have some time to share it with her.

MWCC Playdate

The end of May was the beginning of some much needed playdates. The weather was great so we all headed to the park for some good old-fashion fun and a picnic dinner. We also topped off the evening with some ice cream. Not a bad way to end the week.

My Baby

She rarely falls asleep in my arms but I treasure the moments when she does. In fact, it is so rare I made Zeb grab the camera and take a pictures so I wouldn't forget how special these precious moments are.

Finally...Summer Vacation

Well, it has been a horrible month for me in terms of work. Way too much to do and way too many late nights. I lost touch with reality this month but since I can't turn back the clock, I'll just move forward and work on enjoying summer vacation.

I'm a bit behind in the blog and want to post some things so bear with me as I travel back in time this month a bit.

Kailei's Graduation

So Kailei has completed her year at pre-school and ready for kindergarten. I can't believe she will be starting this fall but she is ready. She learned a lot this year and will be soaking in what ever she can in years to come.

They recently had a graduation party at her pre-school. It was very cute. Kailei was singing and practicing her poems long before the special event so I too, can recite the poems and sing along because the songs really get in your head.

I'm not sure but I think she was a little excited. :)
